I keep this unit very close to the house and it will be on my patio during the winter. It is compact and attractive. I was concerned that the volume would not be large enough to compost well but I have had no issues keeping the pile hot enough. Also, no odor problems at all. I am a 56 year old female and have no trouble rotating the unit to aereate even when quite full. I have standard bins that I aereate manually, but this unit is a wonderful complement to have close to the kitchen and the automatic tea collection feature is awesome. As I have a very large garden and do a lot of canning, I need other types of units as well but am going to get a another of these bins. I have always composted without purchasing bins but my critter problem got out of hand. The bins work wonderfully and after much research on the internet, I chose the selection [...] at Compost Bins. After trying this and the Earth Machine, I plan to get another of each.
