Additional features
Extend your composting season, especially if you live in a cooler climate, with the Joraform 33 Gallon 125 Compost Tumbler. Composting generates heat and the different micro-organisms start working at different temperatures. The insulated design allows the temperature to rise higher than 160 degrees F, resulting in the quickest, most efficient composting of your organic kitchen waste. These warmer temperatures create a composting process so fast that fresh waste starts to break down before it even has a chance to rot or attract rodents or flies. Thanks to this insulate design, the Joraform will keep working through winter, long after many composters are in hibernation.
The Joraform is divided into two compartments. Fill one while the compost in the other side matures. Once the side you're filling is at capacity, you can empty the mature compost from the other side, and begin again. It's also rodent proof. The Joraform sits off the ground so rodents and other pests simply can't gain access to what's inside. You can even mount it to the wall - mount included, and you just need to supply the screws.
Be sure to rotate your Joraform on a regular basis. Regular mixing is necessary for successful composting. Fresh waste is brought into direct contact with decaying waste, increasing the efficiency of the composting process. Also, air gets into the mixture, providing the much-needed oxygen that's vital to the process.

Very well constructed once built. The instructions, however, were difficult to follow.

Comments about Joraform 33 Gallon 125 Compost Tumbler:
Positives:
Positive #1: The product is built very sturdily. All parts fit together well. Rugid materials are used: painted steel sides, sturdy steel legs, and dense heavy foam insulation inside the chambers. There are two really strong latches used to secure the two chambers. The chambers do not open when the latches are secured; you do not have to worry about stuff falling out. It seems like this product will last for a long time.
Positive #2: The tumbler is easy to turn. There are handles spaced evenly around the tumbler. You simply grab a handle with one hand and pull it towards you. Then you grap the next handle with the other hand and put it towards you. You do have to lean over a bit. I put my tumbler on a hillside. I stand on the downward side so as to not have to lean over as much.
Positive #3: The tumbler is easy to fill. You simply turn the compost tumbler so that the hatch is on top. Then you open the hatch and dump the food scraps in.
Positive #4: The dual chamber feature works really well. This allows you to have one chamber full while the scraps inside mature into compost, while you continue to fill the other chamber on a daily basis. Each chamber has a solid steel door with foam insulation and a latch. When you secure the latch, the foam compresses into the walls of the chamber, making a tight seal with very little leakage. Water escapes through the side ventilation ports. So that means when you turn the tumbler, stuff will not spill out over your hands.
Positive #5: The size is just right for a single family or a couple. There is no need to get one of those huge ones with a crank handle. Each chamber holds plenty of stuff. I could fill up a 5 gallon bucket three times, dump it in one chamber; and still not fill it up.
Negative:
(1) The instructions were confusing. The instructions were generic for two different sizes of the Joraform tumber. Several of the instruction steps applied exclusively to the larger model, but there was no indication to that effect. It went something like... "Place part R in between the two legs..." But there was no indication in the instructions stating that this statement only applies to the larger model! I spent a half an hour searching for several parts, before realizing that these parts are not needed for the 33 gallon version.
(2) There are strong odors, even when the doors are closed.
(3) No instructions on how to compost; what to put in etc. You need to research this topic on your own.
Overall:
I have only had this tumbler to a week, so i cannot attest to itst ability to produce compost. Overall, I really like this product. I looked around at several models of compost tumblers, including the popular CompostTumbler brand. However, I preferred this one for its easy of use, dual chamber feature, size, and solid construction.

Service and delivery comments:
Cardboard delivery box was a bit mangled on delivery. A dent in the corner of one of the panels was present, but did not affect assembly or function.
