A smaller, easier to move version of its popular counterpart, this composter eliminates the need for strenuous churning. All you have to do is rotate the drum on its stand to quickly and easily mix your compost materials. Glide posts on the base allow the drum to rotate freely while keeping it in position, and recessed handles on the sides provide gripping points for easy turning. Turn it about once a week to keep oxygen, nutrients, micro-organisms, and moisture evenly distributed throughout the developing batch. Within just weeks of accruing garden and kitchen waste, this compost bin will transform your scraps into valuable organic material.

This innovative compost bin is made of molded recycled polyethylene plastic and holds up to 7 cubic feet of material. The black color of the bin absorbs heat, which facilitates faster composting. I LOVE this composter. [...] It set up in about 1-2 minutes. It is obviously sturdy and well-made; this product is NOT some cheap crapola. I have arthritis in both thumbs, but once I put all my yard compost heap in, my forearm muscle only had to work just a little bit to roll it, it is NOT hard to turn, for ME, and I need the forearm muscle working to keep me agile for raking! The bin handles are close enough together, it is easy to turn even for my stumpy arms. I put in my things, a shot of water and give it two or three turns. No big deal at all! I added things everyday since it arrived.I love the heavy black plastic construction; it keeps the compost warm and moist, absorbing the little sun we get this time of year in Southwestern Arizona. Stays hot, moist and smells like DIRT!I put it next to the garden, but it is very simple to roll off the base and roll it to wherever it needs to go for me to dig out and distribute the compost/rich soil product. That is a plus for me, as I have many places on my 3+ acres that could use a nice amended and nitrogen-rich soil, (with the clay and sand base pervasive in this part of our fair state). The lid is very easy to twirl twice to remove, with the protrusioned handles. The opening is big enough to dump a plastic bag of veggie and fruit tops and skins easily. I put all my vegetable/fruit kitchen waste, coffee grounds, teabags and some brown things too, from the yard, but no weeds with a seed head or diseased plants, of course. I add a little soil from my planting soil bags and a small shot of clean water and twirl it up. I am a big fan of this composter. I am considering getting another one to keep well-amended soil ready for planting in one, and adding new things to the other for the next few weeks of winter-garden topsoil needs. I would recommend this product for anyone, but especially right now for Arizona and Zone 9 -11 winter gardeners like me; now is the time I have lettuce and greens and honestly, there is no store-bought lettuce or greens to rival my home-grown for taste and convenience. I was not compensated in any way for this review; I was looking for a composter and found this one online for a great price! My idea of good customer service is this: I order a quality product and it arrives quickly with NO hassle and IS a quality product. That is my experience with this composter and this company!Thank You!

The compost tumbler came nicely packed and ready to go right out of the box! It appears to be well-made and sturdy. I haven't made compost with it yet since I just received it, but functionally it spins nicely on its base and has aeration/drainage holes on the side of the drum. Can't wait to add some greens and browns and get ready to Rot-and Roll!

I was so excited to order this product hence all the good reviews. I am quite disappointed with the quality of the product. It looks as though they make two pieces then stick it together with the same plastic material the tumbler is made with . That would be fine if the whole area was filled in, but mine has big gaps and looks as though you could push your hand through it. I also noticed that a spigot was mentioned in the instructions and am confused if that was suppose to be included. When I called customer service and asked if the spigot should of been included, they could not answer that question either. They gave me another number to call, so I guess I will wait til Monday for an answer and possible replacement of the Wizard Jr. :(

Good product. Most useful for small-scale composting.

I purchased two of these tumblers after reading the reviews, afraid I'd be frustrated if I had only one. However, I grossly underestimated the amount of compostable material we produce in our kitchen and garden. If I could do it over I'd buy two 90-gal tumblers.

I chose these composters because we recently moved to campus housing with a small yard, where a sprawling compost pile is completely unacceptable. These tumblers are very neat and no one has complained. On the contrary, our neighbors are impressed that we are so 'green'.

So what's the problem? We are two adults who have a very modest garden. However, we eat a LOT of produce (more than we can grow ourselves) and the bins fill up WAY too quickly. In order to avoid overfilling them (thereby compromising their effectiveness) I'd probably need about 4-8 of these compost tumblers (less in summer, more in winter).

At least I can compost SOME of what we produce.

Q1: I live in southern california where houses are close togethor. How odorous is composting?

A: It depends on the type of materials you are composting. I mainly compost greens and browns, avoiding meat and my compost smells very earthy. I have had no complaints from neighbors!
