Compost pail, Lid, Interior pail, Carbon filters
Don't toss those kitchen food scraps into the garbage or stuff them down the garbage disposal. The Kitchen Compost Pail is small enough to sit right on your counter where it's convenient to toss in all your kitchen scraps. The interior plastic pail removes easily via the metal handle so you can transfer the scraps to a larger compost bin or worm composter. Carbon filters are included to trap any odors inside.

Needed a new pail to replace our old stainless steel on which the lid broke. (Didn't like that stainless showed water spots so easily.) Bought this in the cream. Like the durable finish. Doesn't show water spots! Also like the removeable inner pail for transporting contents to outside composter and easier cleaning. Also like the compact size so not too much counter space is used. (If more than 2 people in family, this may be too small.) The price is VERY reasonable-got sticker shock looking at some of the other pails! Cons: the filter doesn't seem to last very long and plastic liner does retain odors more easily. Overall like the product and would definately reocommend it.

After having my new Kitchen Compost Pail be the coolest new thing on my kitchen counter.
I needed a new charcoal filter after several months mine was still working but had grown mold because of the dampness of the food scraps, peels etc that are put into the Kitchen Compost Pail.
I found out from "Hayneedle" and the maker of the Kitchen Compost Pail there is no charcoal filter refils available to buy. You can buy some made by other manufacturers for other countertop compost pails and cut them to fit. UGH!!

Comments about Kitchen Compost Pail:
It looks cute on the kitchen counter. The lid with charcole filter keeps smells from getting out. The removable liner is great. Works to take out the liner, fill it with food scraps or vegetable peelings, then slip it back into the decorative can until you can go out to your yard waste to empty it. Removable liner washes easily and slips back into can until next time.
